interesting/funny/special cars sightings

On the way home today, I saw a funeral proscssion outside a curch. The lead car was a Ford Falcon hearse (duh!), behind was a Holden Statesmen, behind that was a [R35] Nissan GTR, and then another Statesmen. I was suprised to see a two-door sports car in a funeral porcession. The only non-black car was the hearse. It was a light blue.

Why? how does it work with funerals in there?

Talking of unusual Fiats, a Fiat Talento appears in the trailer for Ninja Assassin. The Talento was a shortened version of the first-generation Ducato sold only in Italy. The odd thing, though, is that Ninja Assassin was filmed in Germany.

rather LS, eh?

Not too unusual, Italy was the biggest export-market for the Audi 50. A reason, why a friend -hardcore-Audi 50-freak, as I'm hardcore-K 70-freak  - in his vacations always strolls around on Italian classic-car-markets and junkyards. But in the last years, it's not worth any more. Here in Germany neither.

@Gag: a Fiat Talento is not too rare in Germany. I have seen a few in the past. But due your posting I know since now, that it had an own name and was not a Ducato.

Again something learned by IMCDB...

A friend of mine has a blue Fiat Talento but not in van version, it's a "truck" or a "Pick-up"... I don't know the english name, in Italy it's called "cassonato"

Is the first one maybe a XK or something XK-based?

The third one doesn't look like a Jaguar. I guess, it's a Facel Vega.

Today I had a letter of the Ford Company in my post-box (How the hell they got my address? Surely not really legal).
Included an elaborated mini-brochure for the Ford Kuga (obviously new, never heard about it) and with postcard, where you can reserve a test-drive.

No, I will not go there. Since the Ford-wrecking-campaign in the mid-90ies (similar to the actual Abwrackprämie in Germany), where all received in payment-taken cars were crushed and sold sold again, I deeply hate Ford. So I will never buy a Ford at all (perhaps except a perfect Granada MKII 2.8 Ghia). If my wife will decide to buy a Ford, I'll throw her out of the Garage. A Ford can be parked anywhere, but not on my ground.

P.S. Surely I've thrown the brochures in the old-paper-box, but the re-closable plastic-envelope is good. It fits for K 70-instruction manuals.

I saw this in a Target parking lot where I live. I have been driving my Montero every once in awhile. I still haven't found another vehicle suitable yet. I did get a couple things fixed on it but I am still getting rid of it in the future.

Anyway this truck is a Subaru. On the back there was a kind of desert landscape painted above the bumper. It was quite a unique truck. Sorry my camera phone is not good I didn't have my much better camera.

Today, in a traffic jam on the Autobahn (a burning truck had blocked the way), I was standing besides a truck of a French company:
"Antoine Distribution"
