Besides "A New Leaf," Walter Matthau appeared in one other movie in 1971 known as Kotch

SteveA, you should take some interest in this movie too, because there's a scene where Matthau rides an MCI MC-6;

I'm afraid I don't have any pictures from the movie though, because my PC is in the shop. This also means I'm going to have to delay this and my attempt to capture screengrabs of vehicles in Recipe for Disaster(2003)(TV Movie), which I originally was planning to gather this month.

Anyway, here's the kind of bus I'm talking about.

I was beginning to think that I made a mistake about the MCI bus, because when I finally scanned the DVD, the first bus I saw was an MC-5.

But then... TA-DA!!
http://img22.imageshack.us/img22/1015/kotchmcimc6.th.jpg
That three-level Greyhound that's only a legend to those of us on the east coast, the MCI MC-6! Walter Matthau's character rides around in both of them, and all other buses during this montage are MC-6's, so I'd say three stars at the most.

I'm going to post the other vehicles later.

Two shots of Kotch's(Walter Matthau)son and daughter-in-law's 1971 Dodge Coronet Station Wagon. He rides around in it during one segment, so I'd say that's three stars.

A GMC "New Look" bus that his grandson's babysitter takes to the local pool. He follows them there and helps her out, but the bus is only shown for a moment, so it's two stars.

This is the babysitter's boyfriend's car. A late-1960's Pontiac GTO without hideaway headlights. Two stars at least.
http://img223.imageshack.us/gal.php?g=kotchpontiacgto1.jpg

Kotch's son's other family car. A 1971 Chevrolet Chevelle Malibu convertible. Two stars.
http://img223.imageshack.us/gal.php?g=kotchchevroletchevellem.jpg
Kotch talks to his son about the babysitter and her boyfriend's tryst on the son's family couch.

This one's kind of tricky. As his son and tranqued-up wife are taking him off to visit the old folks home, we see other senior citizens riding around on one of these.

I don't have too much proof, but I think it might be a Taylor-Dunn. One star.

Here's another one-star vehicle. A 1971 Ford Custom 500.

I thought it was a Galaxie 500 at first, but the lack of trim made me think otherwise.

More to come later, including a 1949 De Soto that Walter Matthau drives around Palm Springs.

Here's a link to two images of the 1949 De Soto that Joseph P. Kotcher buys, and uses to drive Erica Herzenstiel(Deborah Winters) around town with.
http://img413.imageshack.us/gal.php?g=kotch1949desoto1.jpg
Bought simply because it had a clutch, and occasionally driven around like a maniac. Three stars.

Another link. A 1968-70 Plymouth Satellite station wagon driven by Miss Herzenstiel's guardian, played by Larry Linville of M*A*S*H fame.
http://img413.imageshack.us/gal.php?g=kotch196870plymouthsate.jpg
He pops in to hand over paperwork allowing her to give up her baby for adoption. Two stars.

Yet a third link. A 1963-64 International Harvester pickup that Pablo uses to push Kotch's DeSoto with.
http://img413.imageshack.us/gal.php?g=kotch196364internationa.jpg
Pablo is apparently somebody hired by a doctor to take care of Kotch when he contracts the Measles, and he can't get a nurse. Two stars, maybe three for helping Kotch move his junker on the road.

And I'm done. I don't know whether or not I should've scanned for some of the cars in Palm Springs that Kotch nearly collides with, and there are some customized motorcycles at a gas station that I'm not even going to try to identify.

I suppose the only other things I'm going to submit next are clips from music videos I find on YouTube and similar sites. Otherwise, I won't even be able to submit anything else until around July 2009. On the bright side, you now have the chance to upload the first MCI MC-6 on the entire site, along with all the other vehicles.

MCI's pics were too littles and have been enlarged to similar size than others pics. But now their quality are lower.
