Here's just a fun little quiz I put together to test your car knowledge. I'd like everyone on the forum to please give it a try, even if you have no idea to the solutions, then you can just guess. To some of you this may seem very basic and easy, (especially some of our American members, since it is mostly about American car brands) but to others it may not seem so obvious.
The correct answers are posted in the spolier tag below, which you may look at only after you have posted your own answers (NO PEEKING! :bogoss: ) Also please do not look at other people's answers for clues. In fact, if everyone could please put their answers in a spolier tag please do, just so we can be sure no one will "accidentally" see them. Also no checking on any other web sites or outside sources, this is purely about YOUR OWN KNOWLEDGE right off the top of your head.
First prize (though there really is no "prize" except for I will congragulate you  ) goes to the first person to get all of them exactly right. Second prize goes to the first non-US memeber to get them all right (Canada does not count  ). If the first person to get them all right also happens to also be non-American then you win "ULTRA FIRST PRIZE" in which I will congragulate you more spectacularly than if you had only won first prize. :ddr555:

Ok, so here it is. Have fun and good luck!

I forgot Hummer! (same price range as SAAB, I guess, since there are more expensive Caddys like the XLR.

That’s ok, General Motors would have forgotten it too ...

I wouldn't have put it in there. I don't think it fits into the more basic/more luxurious list linearly, they just serve a different market. Like; people who want a Tahoe, but also want to look like wankers. It's a matter of image more then anything else.

I wouldn't have put Jeep in either, since the rest of the Chrysler brands don't really make SUVs. I agree with where you put it though.

 I have never heard it put quite that way, but I suppose that pretty much sums it up when it comes to Hummers :ddr555:

Anyway the reason I didn't put in Saturn, Saab, GMC, Hummer, Jeep, etc... is becuase I don't really consider them real GMs and Chryslers, they are more specialty brands than anything else. Hummer, Jeep, and GMC just make trucks, so they don't really fit. Saturn is more of a specialty car brand and doesn't really fit in the linear pattern, as BlackIce said. And Saab, well that's not a GM at all whatsoever, it is purely European so I have no idea why people even refer to it as GM, it is just stupid...

As far as who won, I guess it would be Roadmaster since he got it all right, but he added a lot of other stuff in there and made it so confusing to sort out  but I guess that just sort of gives him extra points anyway since it shows how much more he knows. So congratgualations Roadmaster, you WIN! :dawaflag:

I was hoping more people would try the quiz though... :ohwell: Especially antp, I wanted to see if he could get it all right. Though I suppose as though he's been adding and identifying cars for all these years there's a pretty good chance he would

Maybe next time you should wait a bit longer. Though it´s over yet, I´ll try to answer your quiz (not quite sure regarding Olds since it´s a dead brand).
Ford Motor Company:
Ford
Mercury
Lincoln

Chrysler Corporation:
Plymouth
Dodge
Chrysler

General Motors:
Chevrolet
Oldsmobile
Pontiac
Buick
Cadillac

That´s pretty simple:

Toyota - Lexus
Honda - Acura
Nissan - Infiniti

Oh, you were so very close! You just mixed Pontiac and Olds. And you would have won second prize too, since you are a non-US member (though as you drive an American car, that might cancel it out :ddr555: )
