Antp or any administrator, can you tell me how to make MPC run smoothly without any errors cause it keeps freezing up and I have to make a new box.

Try to go in the Options window of MPC, and in "Output" page change the "DirectShow Video" setting to something else (except "overlay mixer" as it does not allow saving pictures)
