Still trying to figure out this military truck. I would guess an AM General, but it only has a single rear axle. Most of the 5-ton trucks used by the US military have two axles.

No problem! Hot Rods are, as you say, usually Fords. The easiest way to tell a Model A from a '32 or newer is the fuel cap in the middle of the cowl. For 1932 they got the fuel tank behind the trunk.

I didn't go back far enough in model years, I was looking in the 1932-1934 range.

It's a 1930-1931 Ford Model A with a '32 radiator mask. The roofline looks quite normal to me.

Have a 30's street rod coupe with 5-windows and an unusual roofline that I can't seem to match up. What make? I know most of this era are Ford:
