She came stock with those polished 16" rims as most 2003 CTS. But 16" on a CTS looks a bit underwhelming and thus I purchased 18" rims. It´s Borbet TS, these are also available in the U.S. for different vehicles.
Now I use the 16" with my winter tires and the Borbet with summer tires.

Germaneon, are the wheels on your CTS factory stock or are they aftermarket? They look good, similar to the CTS-V wheels.

Was playing with the camera and here are my Ghost Riders:

Ghost CTS
btw: Both videos are 16:9 but youtube displays them in 4:3. Does anybody know if there is a possibility on youtube to switch it back to 16:9?

Yes, I always take my Grand Marquis to the car wash everytime I take it out in the snow, so that it won't rust. But most of the time I just don't even take it out it all to avoid the salt. It's been mostly sitting in the driveway for the last few weeks. Sadly I'll have to wait until spring when the snow melts before I start taking it out daily again.

Something else, which sucks really in the wintertime, is the salt on the roads. Yes, it makes the driving better (and often just possible), but also the cars extremly dirty. Just after a few kilometers at this weather (plus/minus around 0 degrees, sometimes a bit rain or snow), its over and over slurred with a smeary salt/dirt/water-mixture.

Sure, nowadays there is much less salt on the road than in the 70ies, but it's not good for the car either.

Until last week my Omega was broken (a f.cking expensive defect at the injection-pump), so I had -quity angrily- to use my K 70. When the Omega was repaired, I brought my K 70 back in its winter-sleep-quarter at a farmer's barn in the next village.
To avoid rust and clean it to an acceptable condition, I had washed it - something, which can really make you pissed, a handmade car-wash at plus 1 degree.
Noone had helped me, no support like this:

If you ask, why I haven't used a car-wash, it's a simple answer: except the fact, that it's mad for the 35 old metallic-paint of my car, the brushes don't clean the back of my K 70.
And quite important fact is, that the water of a car-wash will be used several times. It will be cleaned, so the biggest dirt and oil will be filtered, but not the salt, they are washing from the cars in the winter. So at a car-wash in the wintertime, your car will get a real salt-shower. So I avoid that.
Hopefully now my Omega will going fine, that I can let my K 70 in the barn until the spring comes.

I'm happy, that there is no snow over here. I hate to make my daily 130 km at snow and ice.
Actually it's freezing, so the cars are covered with rime in the morning. This is lovely for one reason: I can use my Eberspächer-extra-heating
As this morning, too. Just switch it on (or programme it before) and listen, while still lying in the bed, for two sounds from outside. At first for the "crotch, crotch" of the neighbours, cleaning their windows and then for the "Whohooo" of that fabulous heating. After 30 minutes I can put my butt in a nice warmed car with ice-free windows.

By the way, a propos snow: is somewhere over here, who had never seen or felt snow in his life? From Down Under for example?

I envy you for the lot of snow, too
